Toy Insurance in Illinois

Toy insurance might sound like a term designated for those who have rare and value collector's item toys, but it actually refers to insurance that covers adult toys like ATVs, mopeds, and motorcycles.

Toy insurance covers liability in the event you damage property with your ATV or motorcycle. It may also cover you if you cause a death or bodily injury to another person. Depending on the policy you select, any damages done to your toy may be covered in full or at least partial.

The required insurance for toys is different in every state and for each type of toy. For instance, you need to have $25,000 of coverage for injuries or death to one person in an accident if you have a motorcycle. You'll need $50,000 of coverage for injuries or death to more than one person in an accident. Additionally, the policy must cover up to $20,000 of property damage. Despite the state's minimum requirements, you may want to opt for more insurance that just what is required. This can protect your home or other assets in the event of an accident that results in more damage or injury that's more than you can afford. You have to remember that you’re responsible for all costs that exceed the coverage. You're responsible for any damages your motorcycle, ATV or moped does whether it's private or public property.

When figuring out the policy for you, we'll take into consideration the particular toy you have as well as your accident history.
